Eve was born in London England the daughter of actor Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Jack George and Jack George were her two younger brothers. Her birthplace was in raised in England and Los Angeles. She went to Bedales School and then took her A-levels at Westminster School in London. In her time off, she attended the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then took English through St Catherine's College Oxford. The student actress was in productions An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers, Scenes from an Execution (which was toured to Edinburgh Fringe Festival), as well as The Colour of Justice while studying at Oxford. The actress was born into a family of mixed race, having an Indo British father Anthony Mitra of British descent as well as the mother Nora Downey. Mitra is the middle kid of a multiracial household. Her older brother, Jason Mitra, and her younger brother Guyan Mitra are equally English actors. Her younger brother is who is a renowned travel writer, whose writings appear on the pages of Lonely Planet magazine and The Sunday Times.
